Dementia training plays a key role in raising awareness of dementia and helping people to understand the needs of all those with memory loss. In the 1 hour sessions, participants are asked to reflect on values and challenge stereotypes and stigma. The primary aim of the sessions is to develop a culture of sensitivity and compassion toward those with some form of memory loss.
The greater the understanding and tolerance across our community, the longer dementia sufferers can carry on with everyday activities such as shopping or remaining part of a club.
To sign up for a one hour session please contact Peter Jones via this website. Peter is a qualified psychiatric nurse and a dementia champion and will be running the training sessions.
