News item from Poole Churches Together and The Alzheimer’s Society –

Churches Together in Poole
We are supporting an organisation who are setting up some activities in the local area for people with memory loss or dementia and their companions / carers to attend.

The first one that has been set up is an eight week choir, taking place at St Peters Church in Bournemouth, starting early February. Research indicates that keeping active and engaged is beneficial for the memory and for people in the early stages of dementia. We are therefore encouraging people, whether or not they have experience of being in a choir, to come along to this activity. Above all else it should also be a fun experience and provide feelings of wellbeing.
I would appreciate it if you were able to distribute the attached flyer, preferably with an explanation, to churches and congregations in the area, and encourage them to come along. It is of course open to anyone, so do pass on to anyone else you know who may be interested.
The sessions are free and refreshments will also be provided. Contact details of on the flyer for those wishing to make enquiries or book a place.
Any questions do get in touch.
Thank you.
Best wishes
