Helping people with dementia return to their home
Throughout the year people with dementia are found lost and confused not remembering where they live or who they are. It is distressing for everyone, and something that families of people living with dementia worry about happening.
Carers are now able to get a safety bracelet (pictured), for a person with dementia living at home in Broadstone.
If you see a person lost and confused and wearing a bracelet like this, gently ask to see it. There will be a telephone number engraved on it and a numeric code. Please note these. The telephone number is the Poole Lifeline service operating 24/7 throughout the year. Please telephone and give the numeric code. This will identify the person and Poole Lifeline service will contact the person’s carer.
